I am thankful for Primary Childrens

My beautiful little girl has picked up on my awesome ability to not breath well. Since she was only 10 days old they put her in the hospital. She has now in day three here. I would like to go home and I would like to  see her with fewer tubes and wires on her, however I can't look at her and not feel grateful to have her in my world. I have a lot to be grateful for.

Elyn

Just for fun one of these pictures is Scotti as a newborn, lets see if anyone can pick it out.

Elyn joined our family and we couldn't be happier.

We are now a happy little family of four. Scotti didn't much care for the hospital and was terrified of me because of the IV's I had going on. However she does love her sister and was so excited to meet her.

On her second day Scotti came and sat with me (only because the IV was gone). I do love my girls!

I couldn't ask for a better daddy for these two angel girls thanks David.

August 2013

For anyone that has ever know me this post will probably come as a shock; living it sure was for me. David and I have been trying to have another child for a while now. I had a miscarriage in April, which was a total devastation in my world. We decided to try again this time putting more faith in the Lord and trying just a little harder to do the basics. While fertility treatments are expensive and a gamble we decided to give it another go. Well it worked! I am pregnant. While this is one of the biggest blessing that could come to our lives, I have been very sick since the start of the year with all the medication I have had in my system and then the pregnancy.

About two weeks ago David found out he would require surgery that will take place on Monday. Between that and my working nights and him working days and him leaving for Chicago for three weeks in October life was becoming full. Anyhow just after we found out about the surgery people at church started to look for me. It should have been a red flag but I didn't think much about it. I already have a calling and have only been in the ward for 7 months so it couldn't be anything more than offering a prayer in sacrament right? Wrong, I was sustained as the Relief Society President on Sunday.

As I have had a little time to reflect, I am so grateful. I have been given so very much and have one of the best families anyone could ever ask for. I have been given so much that the opportunity to serve and show that gratitude is really what I needed. I am so grateful to have a Heavenly Father that cares for me so completely and has shown his love all over my life. I know that His help is the only way I will make it through this calling, pregnancy, work, and David's business trip.

2/23/13 Scotti is very sick and has had a fever all day it broke for a few hours but returned and she has been miserable! I asked her if she needed more juice she looked at me and said "no I don't need more, there's plenty in there!"

Scotti and my mom were playing restaurant the other day when my beautiful little girl pinches her little fingers together and holds them up to my mom and said "Credit Card" to pay for her meal. I could hardly believe it where had she learned such a thing.

I was getting ready for church and had just showered and dressed. I came out of my room to do my hair and make-up when Scotti gasps and runs to me and said "your Beautiful Mommy". I am so glad for a husband that says that enough that my two year old picked it up, especially because I went into the bathroom to find damp frizzy hair and one raccoon eye. I was looking pretty lovely.

2012

We bought our first house in November and were able to spend Christmas there. Obviously the yard needs a little help but we are so happy with our home and our ward and all of our wonderful neighbors. We had a lot of help from a wonderful real estate agent and would recommend him to anyone who is looking.

I haven't done well with keeping a record so I needed to add a few things to keep them sharp in my mind. Christmas was wonderful and we enjoyed our new home and the opportunity to remember the Savior and the gifts that have been so richly given.

Also I wanted to throw Halloween in Scotti was little red riding hood and David was of course the big bad wolf.

A few things that have happened this year:

I don't want to share these things in order to feel bad or gloat but just to keep a record of our blessings. Last year was a lot of highs and lows. In the spring we found out that David would be gone with his job for several months. He had been looking for a job for a long time but we started to pray extra hard in order to find  him a job that would not have him gone as much.

He was to leave for San Antonio for six weeks get back on a Friday and leave Saturday for California then the same turnover off to Minnesota. He would have been gone for 4.5 months, we were not the most happy, right before he left for San Antonio he found out he would be losing his job right before Christmas when he returned from Minnesota. A few days latter he got a call from a company he had been looking at for more than a year they offered him a job with comparable money but a ton of room to grow, a company car and gas card and several other perks. While he did have to go to San Antonio for three weeks and then some training in Georgia for a few weeks it was not a big deal after thinking of what it could have been. There is no dought in my mind that the Lord is looking out for us. All of the issues that we may have had in the past year were there not because we are not capable or because we made bad choices but more to help us remember all of the blessings we do have. We have had the oppertunity to trust in family and to take help and hopefully to show gratituded if we didn't show it affectivly I sure did feel grateful for so many. I have wonderful in laws and parents, the most wonderful husband and daughter the support of many siblings and a loving Father in Heaven that has been leading my path at every turn.

I don't know what the next year will bring but I know I am in great hands.
