2012

We bought our first house in November and were able to spend Christmas there. Obviously the yard needs a little help but we are so happy with our home and our ward and all of our wonderful neighbors. We had a lot of help from a wonderful real estate agent and would recommend him to anyone who is looking.

I haven't done well with keeping a record so I needed to add a few things to keep them sharp in my mind. Christmas was wonderful and we enjoyed our new home and the opportunity to remember the Savior and the gifts that have been so richly given.

Also I wanted to throw Halloween in Scotti was little red riding hood and David was of course the big bad wolf.

A few things that have happened this year:

I don't want to share these things in order to feel bad or gloat but just to keep a record of our blessings. Last year was a lot of highs and lows. In the spring we found out that David would be gone with his job for several months. He had been looking for a job for a long time but we started to pray extra hard in order to find  him a job that would not have him gone as much.

He was to leave for San Antonio for six weeks get back on a Friday and leave Saturday for California then the same turnover off to Minnesota. He would have been gone for 4.5 months, we were not the most happy, right before he left for San Antonio he found out he would be losing his job right before Christmas when he returned from Minnesota. A few days latter he got a call from a company he had been looking at for more than a year they offered him a job with comparable money but a ton of room to grow, a company car and gas card and several other perks. While he did have to go to San Antonio for three weeks and then some training in Georgia for a few weeks it was not a big deal after thinking of what it could have been. There is no dought in my mind that the Lord is looking out for us. All of the issues that we may have had in the past year were there not because we are not capable or because we made bad choices but more to help us remember all of the blessings we do have. We have had the oppertunity to trust in family and to take help and hopefully to show gratituded if we didn't show it affectivly I sure did feel grateful for so many. I have wonderful in laws and parents, the most wonderful husband and daughter the support of many siblings and a loving Father in Heaven that has been leading my path at every turn.

I don't know what the next year will bring but I know I am in great hands.
