This is the home of a family in my hometown. This home was built in 1998; I was spending a few days in Enterprise before I HAD to go back to Layton to start school. Stacie, Carolyn, and I had done a few things I believe there was a softball game at the church and we had been walking around town talking. This house was not far from the church and we had all been wanting to see the floor plan and decided that it would be a good time to take a look (this was one of our favorite past times). At this point it was after 10:00 and very dark. All three of us had the feeling that this may not be a great idea. Unfortunately we are all STUPID!!! We walked upstairs and were sure that the worst was past due to the fact that there was not a rail. Carolyn and Stacie went on while I was occupied with something that I found interesting in the entry. I turned and tried to catch up with them, thinking that they were in the dinning room. The Kitchen had a small walk through and when I turned I could see a black tarp and thought nothing of it as I tried to find them in the dark. About half way through the kitchen and all the way to the basement I decide that the tarp was really not a tarp at all but a gaping hole in the center of the floor. As I lay at the bottom of the hole trying desperately to find my air that at this point was so far gone I wasn't sure if it would ever return. Stacie and Carolyn came running to find out what I had just accomplished. After frantic screeches from Stacie, and Carolyn's desperate attempts to find out if I was okay, I was finally blessed to have my air return. As soon as Stacie didn't think I was dead there came a deafening sound of her laughter. None of us could really recall how I got out of that hole even the next morning we talked about it and we couldn't remember. All I know is that it is the text book example of why you should listen to the spirit! I guess since I didn't, I will always have my messed up knee to remind me next time. After we left the incomplete home and with the knowledge setting in that my knee had doubled in size, Carolyn flagged down the first car she saw (you can do that in a small town and your not considered crazy) it just happened to be a guy that had been after her for a while. He took me to my house (we hadn't finished moving yet).
At that point we determined the damage and they insisted on taking me to the house of the local paramedic. All I could say is it is a good thing we where all well liked because it really wasn't a big injury and they had me sitting at this poor lady's house at 11:30. Thankful she is a sweet heart and the mother of a good friend. She of course could do nothing due to the swelling. At any rate this is the finished house of that event. Oh such good memories!!
I would love to hear Stacie's account of the same story.

I'm sorry, I know it's not funny that you actually got hurt. It could have happened to anyone of us. I'm glad it wasn't me and I'm sorry that you now have a permanent reminder.
HILARIOUS!!! I so don't even remember this happening! I'm sorry you have had lasting effects.
