I always thought that food storage was for the more mature members of the church; I have to admit that I had a BALL this year working on our food storage. We were able to get apples from Jo and Ken and my Mom taught me how to do great things with it. We did applesauce, apple butter, and apple and peach pie filling. I thought that you had to pressure cook those things turns out you don't have to, Yea!!! Also I must say that yard sales are a great, we bought an apple peeler corer and slicer for a quarter, after a turn in the dishwasher it is now my most favorite purchase!

Look at my mad skills!!!

I just want to say thanks Mom I had so much fun doing this and thanks for taking the time to teach me.

I LOVE the apple butter. In fact, I need you to teach me how to make it. I was thinking it would be a great gift to give my neighbors with some fresh baked bread. Not baked by me, of course, because we all know how that would turn out!
